Ms. Thomas, Vice President Operations, joined Heartland Dental Care in 1987 as Dr. Workman’s hygienist. A graduate of Lakeland College in Mattoon, Illinois, and with 22 years experience in clinical dentistry and management, Julie is adept in handling the full scope of practice management as well as communications, education, implementation, results measurements and the teambuilding process.
Julie is a featured speaker at multiple dental industry events. She has studied with many industry/dental leaders, and is a Certified Trainer for the Institute at Heartland Dental Care as well as the Advanced Achievement Leadership program with Dr. Gerald Bell from Chapel Hill University in North Carolina.
Currently, Ms. Thomas oversees Heartland’s Education Department, the Clinical Coaching process as well as the Heartland Coaching division of the company that services external consulting clients. Julie’s focus is to move the Heartland forward by continually working with her teams to develop new curriculum for doctors, dental team members, management and consulting personnel.
